如題,這幅原畫是我的自畫像. 原畫於2017年完工. 畫自己往往是最難的, 因為自己永遠對自己最嚴苛. 也因如此,我花了數個月的時間在這幅畫上琢磨人物刻劃與細節. 在主觀與客觀中切換觀察人物.

肯定語 : 當感覺迷失時,找回最初的自己. 答案就在你一路走過來的故事裡. 做過的事,說過的話, 與所有的努力. 今日殺不死你的,必將成為你明天的力量.
為了紀錄四季變遷,我每年有畫下周圍第一支花的習慣. 這幅作品的花種選擇於我畫室前當季盛開的橘紅色君子蘭. 君子蘭非花季時也是常綠植物．花季時開著豔麗色彩的花，象徵「繁榮」, 「興盛」．有著厚實光滑的葉片，直立似劍，故此花也象徵「堅強剛毅」，有高貴，富貴的寓意．風水學來說，君子蘭也有帶來好運的意思．
畫面左下角的水藍色牡丹則是我自己特別鍾愛的花種. 除了柔美的印象外,牡丹另有「榮耀」的寓意. 背景點綴狹長的銀樺葉, 銀樺象徵無比的勇氣.

-Flowers and girls’ series- by HSIN LIN
In this series, I first started painting most of myself or my cousins, basically the people around me.
Same as my "Bloom like flowers" series, flowers are the object representing life itself. In this series, I paint flowers in full bloom, an interpretation of the vitality, and also a salute to the golden age.
The goal of my art journey has always been true to myself and be true to the present moments.

To experience the changing of the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom in my surrounding during its flowering season. I decided to add in the flowers from my front yard - peony stands for honour, and bush lily stands for great luck. In order to capture the details in this artwork, it actually took me several months to re-reconnect to myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

I absolutely enjoy painting those photo-real flowers, sometimes I even have dreams full of beautiful, delicate flower petals after a long day in the studio, which is totally worth it.
.
I always want to deliver an important message in my floral series - Now is the very best time to be alive.
Be at the moment, be yourself. Whenever you are experiencing difficulty, life itself can be bloomed like flowers with no fear
