本畫同時於2018在澳洲Mont Marte #icanmauveit 比賽拿下第二名.
為了紀錄四季變遷,我每年有畫下周圍環境裡的第一支花的習慣.
牡丹/玫瑰一直是我很喜歡的花種. 看似嬌貴, 但在悉心照顧下卻可以存活非常久. 這是我鍾愛它的其中一個原因.不管經過寒冬酷暑或是冰雹(我的工作室在山邊, 所以很常下冰雹), 一旦到了花季, Peony rose 總是異常有活力的盛開著.
西方有這個說法-若家中的牡丹叢盛開,當年那戶人家會有豐盛的一年. 所以牡丹在當地也是能為家中帶來好運的象徵.

This artwork is inspired by a gorgeous Peony gifted by the lovely gallery owner when I visited Art at Linden Gate at Yarra Valley .
The Flowers were in full bloom under the sun, in a tranquil afternoon.
I adore peony, therefore this gorgeous bush caught my eye immediately .
I was obsessed by the beauty of it so much , so I froze the magical moment in this painting.

A delightful experience to paint a painting using one single colour tube.
So much possibility that you can achieve in one tube.
Life can be that simple, so does joy.
.
Peony is a symbol of prosperity and peace, especially when displayed in full bloom.
Affirmation - Everything takes time . Be bold , be creative , you are on your way .
