《緩光之境》為《餘白計劃／The Margins of Light Project》系列之一，聚焦於「餘白」作為視覺與心靈空間的雙重語彙。

這是一幅關於「靜止與流動之間」的凝視。創作時，我試圖捕捉一種極為溫柔的光——它不耀眼、不急促，卻如氣息般緩緩滲入土地與空氣之中。這片風景並不隸屬於時間，它懸浮於日常之外，彷彿光在默默低語，緩慢移動。

畫面刻意壓低視角，將絕大部分留給天空，造就一片有意為之的「餘白」。這不僅是構圖的選擇，更是一種主動的空間安排——一種讓視覺與心理都能呼吸的節奏。對我而言，那片留出的天空，不是空無，而是一種潛在的可能性，一種靜默中的完整。

我希望觀者能在這幅畫中慢下來，放下敘事的慾望，在無語的風景中尋找自己的節奏與位置。走入這片「緩光之境」，不為了抵達，而只是——停留。

Fields of Quiet Light is part of The Margins of Light Project, a series exploring yohaku—the Japanese concept of “intentional emptiness” that holds space, meaning, and quietude.

This work contemplates the space between stillness and motion. I sought to capture a light that is not dazzling, not assertive, but one that gently seeps into land, architecture, and air—soft, diffused, unhurried. The landscape resists a fixed moment in time. It floats, suspended, where only the quiet rhythm of light lingers.

The lowered horizon invites a sky of yohaku—not absence, but presence. This expanse is a conscious act of withholding, of leaving room. It breathes, listens, and waits.

I hope this painting invites the viewer to pause, to abandon narrative, and to inhabit a rhythm of their own.

To step into this Field of Quiet Light, not to arrive—

but to stay.
